I reckon this interview with Leah Callon-Butler promoting blockchain games in The Age today is completely wrong. So let's put my opinion on the record. Callon-Butler says:
"There are a lot of criticisms of blockchain games, but I think they’re here to stay."
No they're not.
"I think it’s inevitable that blockchain will be implemented into a large majority of games"
No it won't.
Blockchain games are not the future because blockchain doesn't make games better. Any potential they might have will be extinguished when players realise they have been burned by the blockchain games that are Ponzi schemes.
